Part of the beauty of sport is that it gives you a chance to have "The Best Day" again and again. Some of you find out that you earn today's "Best Day" by making an MVB team.
"But I only made the freshman team. Kayla Wyland only made the freshman team in 2009. Then she became a varsity player, a starting opposite hitter, and played on the 2012 State Championship team. Now she coaches Wakefield and led them to the Division 3 Sectional finals last year. She had "The Best Day" a lot of days.
Making the team...having new teammates...
Being congratulated by your family and friends...
Seeing your name in the paper...
Your first time playing in a varsity game...
Starting a game...
Playing in the playoffs...
Maybe winning a sectional title...
Selection for MVB is a challenge. The supply of positions is small and the demand is high.
Make today's "The Best Day" the first of a lot of "Best Days."
