Life Dispenses Lessons. We Choose How to Handle Them.

Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning shares that three elements inhabit our lives - relationships, work, and suffering.

Suffering is unavoidable - loss of loved ones, health issues, disappointments, relationship struggles.

Learning to cope becomes Everyman's mission. Fundamental unfairness underpins some of it. Remember the word "MUDITA," meaning "your joy is my joy." The ability to be happy for the good fortune of others is a valuable skill.

You'll probably read The Jungle in high school. Jurgen's proclamation of "I will work harder," is noble amidst societal mistreatment. Sometimes it's all that we can do. We cannot control much of what happens to us. We can control our response.
