It's a Matter of Trust

It's a matter of trust. Earn the trust of coaches and teammates by doing the right things and not doing the wrong ones. 

Remember what Coach Saban said about players doing the things they need to do and not do the things they need to avoid doing. 

Go back to first principles, "control what you can control" - attitude, choices, and effort. 

Here are a few salient points across sports: 

• Always be on time. 
• Make responsible personal choices - home, school, after school.
• Be coachable. Listen and execute the coaching instructions.
• Stay focused on the court...knowing coverages and assignments.
• Mistakes are inevitable...but repeating them is not. For example, lack of aggressiveness or overaggressiveness on downballs. 
• Always support the team.
