Melrose starts the exhibition season off Monday with a road tilt versus Lynnfield, a perennial contender, at 5 PM at the Huckleberry Hill School.
Coach Scott Celli has emphasized the importance of scrimmages to sort out lineups and playing time when the regular season starts on September 8th.
