To me culture describes the overall ecosystem of a program - attitude, commitment, discipline, effort, sacrifice, teamwork, work ethic and more. Culture doesn't guarantee success but a vague or amorphous culture doesn't produce success.
Director Ron Howard says, "the director is the keeper of the story," which describes how Coach Scott Celli oversees the story.
