"A habit must be established before it can be improved." - James Clear
Know the four 'legs' of the development stool:
1) Skill (or technique)
2) Strategy (or tactics)
3) Physicality
4) Psychology
If any one leg of the stool is weak or broken, the stool is useless or dangerous. Great physical prowess without skill and game understanding isn't a solution.
Jumping rope is easy, inexpensive, accessible and great exercise. Over fifty years ago we began practice with five minutes of jumping rope.
Exercises designed for volleyball players (repost). Great short video with exercises for multiple areas of the body.
Choose three or four and do three or four sets of eight to ten repetitions. Some are challenging so if you can't do so many, work up to it.
Resistance bands train with low impact.
Three exercises - jump rope, box jumps, squat jumps. If you've already warmed up with jumping rope, substitute pogos.
Exercises are presented to give players a "go by" if they're interested. If they're not, that's fine, too.
Lagniappe. Great competitors, great athletes fight for every point. That shows your team and your opponent who you are.
Lagniappe 2. 5 by 5 rule.
