Dreams

"Muhammad Ali who said, "If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough."" - Clint Hurdle in "Hurdle-isms: Wit and Wisdom from a Lifetime in Baseball"

When surveying people about their lives, most regrets aren't about what they did, but what they didn't do.

Robert Browning wrote, "Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp or what's a heaven for?"

Athletes all have dreams. Sometimes it's making the team. Other times it's becoming a professional 'star'. When thinking about dreams, you might think about these:

  • “Some people dream of success, while others wake up and work hard at it.”
    Vince Lombardi
  • “A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.”
    John Barrymore
  • Match your work to your dreams. Big dreams, big work.
  • “Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today.”
    James Dean
  • “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
    Eleanor Roosevelt
  • “A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.”
    Colin Powell
  • “The vision of a champion is someone bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion — when no one else is watching.”
Anson Dorrance, UNC women’s soccer coach
  • “I am living proof that dreams do come true. Work hard. Pray. Believe.” — LeBron James
  • “Dreams are free. Hustle sold separately.”

Dreams are like ordering off the Indian food menu...
