Players impact winning in multiple ways.
Leadership. Distributed leadership allows every player to have a role. Never be a distraction, always strive to improve those around you.
Practice habits. Former college and NFL coach Urban Meyer described "crossing the red line." When you step onto the court, be fully engaged to do your best. "We make our habits and our habits make us."
Competitiveness. Reserve players help build championship teams. They challenge players to be their best by competing, playing on the scout team, sacrificing to excel in their role.
Energy giving. Players can be energy givers or 'energy vampires'. Some players struggle to raise their energy and the team's.
Stepping up. Are you ready to step in and be productive when your chance comes? Players get injury or illness. Maybe a teammate is having a tough day and your coach is looking for a spark. Have you done the mental and physical preparation allowing you to contribute in the moment?
Every day you choose whether to "make the big time where you are."
