The second set was close early but Melrose expanded leads of 11-10 and 17-14 and finished with an 8-3 run to gain momentum.
Set three was tied at 9 but Melrose made a run to go up 17-14 with a hot streak from Gia Vlajkovic. Leah Fowke had a service run helping Melrose take the match home.
Melrose Notes: Melrose has one game remaining with the Liberty Division, hosting Arlington Monday. They finish with five Freedom Division opponents. Four of their final six matches are home contests.
