Melrose's statistics are in for tonight's match. Statistics are always taken in context because we don't have "efficiency" stats.
For example, hitting efficiency is (Kills - errors)/Attempts Coaches have enough to do without posting errors and attempts. Suffice it to say that Melrose didn't bring "A" game efficiency. You could analyze "points won + opponent points gifted" divided by "opponent's points won + points gifted to them" and get a calculation. Winchester won more points and benefited from an excess of unforced errors, often untimely ones.
In the "hierarchy of performance" I consider:
1) Winning with great statistics
2) Winning with adequate statistics
3) Losing with good statistics
4) Losing with less than good statistics
MVB goes back to work tomorrow to make corrections.
