Each season brings new opportunities and today (JV 4:00, varsity to follow @ 5:30) Melrose opens the curtain on the 2013 season, hosting Arlington Catholic (0-1) in a non-conference match.

The early season challenge for Coach Scott Celli and his staff will be to identify a rotation amidst of host of worthy athletes, develop the defensive coordination spearheaded by Jill MacInnes to give setter Allie Nolan the best passes possible, and to rebuild the offensive attack, primarily with underclassmen abetted by returning outside hitter Annalisa DeBari.

AC had an experienced, senior laden team last season and has one game under its belt against D2 North power Bishop Fenwick.



Melrose started slowly in 2012 but came on as the match progressed to win 3-0.
