Regardless of whether you’re a freshman or a sophomore, Coach Scott Celli relies on you physically and mentally to translate identity into performance.
You know the story of the tortoise and the hare. MVB 25 is the tortoise, plugging away, getting better.
Strong teams have identity. The Green Bay Packers of the 1960s had six running plays and rammed the ball down opponents' figurative throats on the way to NFL titles. Coach Ellis Lane told us before the first playoff game in 1973, "You're playing a good Division 1 team (15-5). They'll give you a game." We looked at each thinking, "That is not happening." We led 45-10 at halftime.
Tell yourself, "this is who we are" and "that is how we play."
