Excellent coaches add value to the team and to individual players. And excellent players add value to the coach and the team.
Bill Parcells, former Patriots coach, used to say, "coaches are the most selfish people in the world. We put the people on the field whom we think will make us look good."
In the long run in life, you become your own coach.

- What am I doing to improve skill, game understanding, my physical profile (strength, quickness, conditioning), resilience?
- Coaches don't pick the lineups. Players do through translating their commitment into tangible gains.
