Melrose travels to Westborough to face the always-tough Rangers. This has been one series not dominated by Melrose, with the best effort years ago led by an incredible performance by libero J-Mac (Jill MacInnes).
Westborough never seems to find its way into the Boston Globe rankings, as though they simply don't exist...but they are at a minimum at top 10 team. The Rangers have lost to Barnstable and twice to Algonquin, whom Maxpreps ranks 3rd in Mass, after Minnechaug and Winchester. Burlington will likely drop a bit after losing to Belmont yesterday. But the only rankings that truly matter come mid-November, after the season.
The eyes don't lie as the EEE (Emma, Emily, Erin) crew led in kills yesterday and Grace Sanderson had a solid outing in her start. Eva Haralabatos added 35 assists.
Emma Randolph (per Maxpreps.com) is third in kills in Massachusetts, Eva is fifth in assists, and Nicole Abbott is tenth in digs.
