Sudden Victory

In a rather shocking turn of events, Melrose soccer advances 1-1 in a disqualification victory over Burke. Melrose led 1-0 at halftime and Burke tied the score early in the second half. With 33:07 left in regulation,
Melrose freshman Frantzdy Pierrot was fouled in the Burke penalty area. The call led to a red card on a Burke defender and subsequently the coach and the game was over.

According the MIAA Rules Handbook:

77.2.22 If any coach (head coach or assistant coach) is ejected from a contest, the contest shall be terminated and forfeiture will result.
