Melrose opens the season hosting Woburn in the first of three matches against Middlesex League Liberty Division opponents.
Woburn (16-6 in 2022) arrives as an unknown quantity after graduating their top five hitters and setter.
Melrose projects as one of the favorites in the ML12 among perennial strong clubs in Winchester and Burlington.
Melrose returns rotational players Sadie Jaggers (185 kills) moving outside, Grace Gentile (libero), Manon Marchais (outside), Gigi Albuja (defensive specialist), and Leah Fowke (setter).
Melrose had a strong preseason with tuneups against Peabody and Marblehead, and hosted the playday Saturday.
