Home Opener: Melrose Hosts Arlington

Melrose (1-0) opens its home campaign against the Arlington Spy Ponders, following the junior varsity game which begins at 4:00 P.M. 

The match is Arlington's first of the season. Arlington has a non-league schedule including Arlington Catholic, Bedford, Concord-Carlisle, and Wayland, most perennial post-season contenders. Last season Melrose emerged with a 3-1 win at Arlington. 

Cooler temperatures are forecast for today which can be a double-edge sword. Playing and watching conditions improve, but rarely high humidity in the gym can lead to slippery conditions with floor condensation.
