Melrose remains at 7 in the Maxpreps.com volleyball computer rankings. Duxbury made a big move (+6) up to 3. Winchester (14) moved up three spots, one ahead of Hamilton-Wenham. Barnstable and Newton North remain first and second.
Melrose hosts Reading Monday. The Rockets upset a solid Burlington club Thursday, 3-0. The good news, again, is that the overall quality of play in the Middlesex League has improved.
