Find a philosophy to inhabit. Stoa in Greek is a walkway, almost like a porch. And the Stoics congregated there, the "porch guys."
The Stoics believed in "control what you can control." Ryan Holiday shares a few ideas from stoicism. Incorporate a few into your process. I suggest:
1. What would the indifferent spectator say? Examine objectively.
2. Remember what Admiral Rickover asked a young Jimmy Carter,
