"Own It"

View on Threads

Chase perfection and find excellence.

No game, player, coach, or analysis inhabits perfection. Everyone wants decisions, plays, and sentences redone.

In Good Writing, Allen and Lamott prioritize writing good sentences. Then shape them into paragraphs, chapters, and compete works.

In volleyball, make each play the "production unit." Sometimes a directed, quality serve ends the play. Move on. Next play. Stream that 'sentence' into a paragraph.

In the fifth set against Belmont, at 11-7, Sabrina read the attack and prey becomes predator. That happened because Gen and Sadie made adjustments and kept the play alive off the rafters.

That sequence sets up "The Kid" to serve out the match.

Whatever happens, own it.
