Winchester Monday

According to the score in The Boston Globe online, Winchester defeated Burke in the preliminary round in Division 2 North, and advances to face Melrose Monday night at the Middle School Gymnasium. No other scores were available for other Middlesex League playoff teams.

Athena Ziavras and teammates will look for their third consecutive win over the Sachems.

Sarah McGowan's move to the front row coincided with Melrose's improved offensive efficiency.
