Melrose faced top-ranked Barnstable on the road, but played hard and solidly despite a three-set 25-11, 25-15, 25-23 defeat.
Barnstable is perennially the Division I State Champion, and Melrose gained invaluable experience facing the Cape's powerhouse. More details as they come in.
