Belief is powerful. Teams with an unshakeable belief in themselves have an edge. You can only be as good as you believe.
Belief isn't enough. Belief and skill are separate, but you have the collective skill and experience necessary for success.
Treasure the experience. You will remember it for a lifetime, remaining in relationships with some teammates forever.
Years ago I told a player she was the best I had ever coached, that she had earned the right to believe. Last night she had 14 points and 9 rebounds in her first college game on the road at Charlottesville, Virginia.
