Mo Cuishle

All opinions expressed in the blog are solely my own.

The relationship between volleyball and boxing seems more "metaphorical" than "analogical."

From Brave AI: Metaphors

A metaphor is a figure of speech that compares two unrelated concepts or ideas to create a deeper and more profound meaning. It is a poetic statement where you say an object or action is another object or action to get a specific message across. For example: “He is a lion on the battlefield” or “Life is a journey”.

MVB 24 engages in some metaphorical "fights" both in ML12 and non-league play. Teams deliver and withstand "punches" and keep going regardless of the opponent or the situation.

Some teams develop a special relationship with their fans that transcends the 'normal' pride of community. The team and players establish a 'connection' that seems unexplainable, a "must see" phenomenon.

There's the "dog pound" in Cleveland, the 12th Man at Texas A&M, the "Cameron Crazies" at Duke. All show unexpected devotion to their teams.

MVB cultivated a close relationship with fans and benefits from a solid home court advantage, especially in the postseason.

Lagniappe. Be the toughest competitor on the court.
