Keep It Simple - An Independence Day Reminder, "Get Sugar"

Simplify. Master the fundamentals. 

Develop overarching themes: 

• Focus. "Next play" or in Ted Lasso-speak, "Be a goldfish." 
• Be consistent. Do well what you do a lot. "Pass, set, hit." 
• Play harder for longer. Exceptional teams have a success runway and the physical and mental toughness to travel that path. 
• Be analytical. "Do more of what works and less of what doesn't." You have potentially elite middles, an elite setter, and elite defenders. Dr. Fergus Connolly says, "don't bring a gun to a gunfight. Bring a tank." 
• Think "Team First." Great players make everyone around them better. 
• Compete. Great white sharks aren't at the top of the ocean food chain. Orcas are. They outthink and outwork the competition. 
• Get 'sugar'. Be special.
•  
• Believe. Make that your only option. Your coaches believe in you. You must believe in yourselves.
