Doc Rivers says, "Fight for your culture every day."
During tryouts, before the basketball season elsewhere, something went missing from a player's locker. The captain spoke up. "That is not who we are. Whoever did this, don't come back tomorrow." Not everyone returned.
Players can metaphorically "take things" from teammates. Jon Gordon uses the term "energy vampires." Teams with high aspirations need everyone 'on board' - shared vision, shared sacrifice, shared outcomes.
Be a great teammate. Always add to the culture. Never be a distraction.
