"Soft skills" separate excellent from average. Great students master listening. So do coachable players. A few considerations:
1. The first price of success is paying attention.
2. Maintaining eye contact assists with focus.
3. A Mindfulness practice helps improve attention in students as young as first grade.
4. Posture impacts listening. "Look like you're listening."
5. Listen to understand not to respond.
