Melrose travels to Arlington tonight for a 6:30 match against the Spy Ponders.
Arlington (5-7) ranks 31st in the MIAA D1 Power Rankings with a Power Rating of 0.79. This currently qualifies them for postseason play.
My calculus of ratings was clearly wrong as the 'average margin of victory' and 'opponent ranking' are recalculated after each contest and summed. For example, Melrose has an average margin of victory of 1.833 (22/12) and opponent rating of 1.8184. Regardless of of the outcome tonight, the latter will fall as Arlington's Power Rating is 0.7936. Melrose's opponent rating drops to 1.7935.
