"Love Your Losses"

Losses dispense lessons. Nobody enjoys losing. Sometimes we lose because our opponent is better, because we don't perform to our capabilities, and often a combination.

Losses often manifest because of a few plays - a bad serve here, a miscommunication there, a physical lapse in serve receive, and so forth. In basketball, about a third of games are decided by two possessions or less.

Losses are final in the postseason. During the season, they inform instruction... we have to do more of this, less of that, this better and that not at all.

"Love your losses." And learn.

Lagniappe.

Lagniappe 2. The rider, the elephant, and the path. Smooth the journey understanding the interplay among the rider (reason), the elephant (emotion), and the path (obstacles).
