Playoff Ball

Teams and players improve through athletic explosion, skill, game understanding, and resilience under adversity.

When studying video, watch the complex interplay of positioning, the movement of the ball and players and decision-making during the "execution moment." Just as offenses look to create space, defenses look to condense space and time

Against better teams with more consistent players, winning points defines success. Good teams give away fewer points - they don't throw games away. They maintain focus to avoid cold streaks defensively and avoid service error streaks.

Coaches have "pet peeves" like mental errors (balls hitting the floor via lack of communication) or not putting "get me over" hits into play.

Lagniappe (something extra): keeping plays alive.
