History Doesn't Repeat, But It Rhymes

Melrose volleyball has gone to the state championship match three times - 2005, 2011, and 2012. In 2005 Melrose traveled to Blackstone Valley to play...Minnechaug, in the semifinals. In 2011, Melrose faced another West challenger in the semis, Longmeadow. 

Melrose lost its final regular season game of 2017 to a strong Division 1 competitor. The state championship team of 2012 lost its final regular season game to Newton North, a Division 1 power. Then, Melrose defeated the West representative, Longmeadow, in the final. 

Tonight at 5 P.M. in Fitchburg, Melrose battles Minnechaug again. "History doesn't repeat, but it rhymes." It's on.
