Winchester absorbed its first defeat of the season at NDA (Hingham) Friday. 

Melrose remains at 7 in The Boston Globe poll. D2 surrounding them are Duxbury, Medway, Medfield, and Hingham. Westborough (second in the Maxpreps.com D2 computer rankings) remains inexplicably omitted.
