Bracketology

The MIAA announced volleyball brackets today.

Melrose faces the winner of Stoneham and Winchester on Tuesday. Both teams are improved and I'd expect a very competitive match between the Spartans and the Sachems. Burlington is the strongest team in the bottom of the bracket.

On the other side of the bracket AC and Fenwick are the favorites. North Reading has played better recently and could be a dark horse. Historically, the city teams have not been strong.

Tomorrow, Melrose hosts Andover, the top seed in D1 North in a 3:30 scrimmage. The Lady Raiders look for another tuneup before the playoffs.
