Something to Prove

The schedule is backloaded with quality opposition, starting today at Central. According to the Maxpreps.com, Melrose has had the weakest schedule of any team in the top 20. I'm pretty confident that the rankings assess not only wins and losses, but quality of wins, and quality of opponents by who they have played.  After Melrose and Reading in the Middlesex League, Lexington checks in at number 45, which has a strength of schedule of 15, because they've played Melrose and Reading.

For example, Franklin has beaten North Attleboro, which defeated Braintree and Canton, and lost to Barnstable.

The thorny matter of scheduling works itself out during the second half.
