Comparing one team to another accomplishes nothing. Every season and every schedule is different. But each team gets opportunities to play and win "signature" games.

The early win over Reading was important, but didn't define the season as much as last week's come-from-behind win over Central Catholic, a team that has given Melrose fits over the years.

Ten year record for the Lady Raiders (click chart to enlarge). The program 'turned the corner' in 2002 with a five set comeback win against Dracut. An evolving youth program, summer camps for many, and community support combined to put volleyball on the map. 

Here's a review of the 'signature' win from 2009 against legendary Barnstable, a team that won the state championship in 2010 and has an excellent chance to do so again this season.
